Of the 230 branches which have so far written to the Bxecutive Cou. of the A.u.U. only 30 have supported its line, tho other 200 cdd have called for Carron's resignation and full support for the strike. The 43C have recontly sent circular to the branches attacking the strikers. As this is discussed by the bru. hes it will invoke a now round of protests, particularly as the circular makes it cloar that the company has said that it has a black list of over 150 workers wii! it will not re-employ.

At an emergency meeting of the Nottingham University Socialist Socie b7 a resolution of support was carried unanimously in support of tho stand of the Acton strikers. <A collection was taken for their strike fund which amounted to over £2.
