As we go to press, reports from Spain indicate that the strike of miners, etc. is continuing and is evoking various sympathy actions all over Spain. The struggle of the Portugese anti fascists is continuing and there are reports of large numbers of arrests of students. Fascism °Wing to its vory nature cannot tolerate any form of prolonged resistance and for this reason, Franco, in particular, will be forced to smash the miners! movement or recognise the beginning of the end for his regime. We must, therefore, expect the struggle in Spain to be very bitter and Savage indeed. Spanish and Portugese reaction are propped up by British and American imperialism an¥°have, therefore, a high level of responsibility to do all we can to support our Spanish and Portugese brothers. We ask all readers of the Bulletin to consider very seriously how they can act on the call to action in the following statement of the I.%.
