On October 30th. about 6,000 dockers stopped work in Colombo port,in protest | against "Amorican itepPorende in Vuba," The token strike was sponsored. by unions controllod by left wing parties. A walkout is also planned by whits collar workews of the All-Ceylon Mercantile Union, whose 15,000 members have beon asked to loave shops and offices on Friday afternoon to demonstrate sympathy with Cuba and protest against last Friday's clash between police and pro-Uuba demonstrators.
