Saboteurs cut between 20 and 30 telephone wires in Port Elizabeth last night (i.e. 3rd Dec.) according to a newspaper report. Communication with all main towns except Cape Town was lost for 2% hours. saboteurs also blew up a telephone box in a Cape Town suburb last night. In tie past three months there have been over 49 acts of sabotage in South Africa despite the introduction of the death penalty for this offence.
