In a statement issued on Dec llth, Stephen Bakwr, Director and Gene. Manager of the.above concern, a Sheffield stecl woxsks said that there will be no climb down. The strike which involves 600 workers is over redundancy notices given to 44 workers. It has not so far heen called official though it has the backing of the local ABU and is called in accordance with the official AU policy of'no sackings’. There has been considerable support for the strike in other Sheffield factories where collections have beon made.
