This was stated by Johnny Eduardo, Head of the Permanent Mission of tho People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola in Algiors, in an interview with radio-tolovision Algeria which was published by the the paper "The People” on March26th, He said “The military situation in Angole is very encouraging. Military operations have q@:panded in scope daily end a numbor of strategic points have bem reocoupied by our military units after fiorce fighting."

He revealed that tho Angolan NLA was planning to oxpand its military operationa throughout Angola, occupy more stmtegic points and open new fronts. The Angolan NLA had under its revolutionary colours more than 30,000 armed personnel, he aid, Nearly 8,000 guerillas in the areas bordering the Congo were undergoing extensive training. ”

Angola's internal situation had greatly improved, he said. Inspite of the intensified threats «nd oru®l suppression by the Portuguesa colonialists, the entire Angolan people wore united as one. This was demonstrated particularly by tho peasants, an invinciblo foree of the Angolan people's revolution, he stressed.
