note with intorest in the 16th September Billotin the item on the housing campaign. You may be interested to know that tha following resolntion was passed unanimously by the N.U.R. A.G.l. in July this year:

"That. this A.G.11. condemns the complete failure of the Tory housing policy as shown by the increasing number of houseless families in London and other cities,

We believe this is due to too few houses being built for renting and to the fact that slum cloarance is proceding too slowly.

Decon trol and high rents with housing speculation also contributes to homelessness and hardships for many families,

We therefore call for:

(1) Puilding of 400,000 houses per year with restrictions on tmilding
