@ Venezuelan pro-U.S,. dictatorial government of Betancourt has in tho last few days arrested 23 M.P.s of the Communist Party and the left-wing Revolutionary liovement. In addition, more than 300 members of the two parties. The Minister of the Interior, Manuel Mantilla announced “emergency measures" against the Commmist Party and the left-wing Revolutionary Movement on September 30th and cancelled the parliamentary immunity enjoyed by the M.P.s of tho two parties....Tho police have raided the hendquarters of the Central Workers Trade Union and arrested 145 workers, The Office of the Communist Party in Caraons has been closeds...In the states of inzoategui Monagas and Zulia many legislative assembly members have also been arrested.
