Two out of the three Junior “hips purged by Sir Isaaz Haywood, leatioer of the L.C.C., for joining the revolt of the "21" (the L.C,C, members who voted against the presentation of an jdrross of elcome to tho Greek Royal Family) were re-elected at the Party meating on October 22nd. The two re-elected were Albert Murray (42 votes), and Irene Chaplin (38), ‘The thin person elected, Cyril Bird, received 39 votes and had the support of the establishment.
With the Greater London Council "on tho Statute book", the L.C.C. Tight wing Labour establishment is beginning to show signs of woakening and cracking in tho face of the opposition of the London Labour Partias.
