students and trade unionists were firstly: to initiate a campaign on the Charter culminating in a nation-wide demonstration during International Women's Year (1975). And secondly, to national Women's Day-to plan proposals will be ammended to Ann Foreman Sheffield IMG around the Charter centred on the need for a broadly-based campaign. The local council's proposals to slash nursery provisions; the lack of abortion and contraception facilities (in Sheffield there is a 6 months waiting list for the pill); the strug gle of students for nursery facilities, and the fight for equal pay should all be centralised through the Charter.
