Uncorrected machine reading. This text was read by machine (Tesseract OCR) from a scan of a stencilled typescript and has not been corrected. Expect misread words; titles in particular are often garbled where the issue printed no contents list. Quote from the scan, not from this page.
How this article was cut and titled: capitals heading; heuristic; title from the issue's contents list (match 0.93).

I disagree with your oditorial views on Cyprus, The proposed 'panaceat is an abstraction derived from a priori rules and takes no account of the concrete situation. The call for working class solidarity is utopian in the situation, Its achievement will take a long, long time and without outside inter vention now there will be an intra-class, inter-racial bloodbath, ~ The issues of the bases is a red herring with rospect to this, While it explains Britain's interest, thoir removal would not help to solve the present strife. The least evil here is UNO intervention which may stabilise the situation enough to allow working class solidarity to develop, If British imperialism does not like UNO forces so much the better.

Chris Arthur, ide Notes an editorial reply will appear in tho next issues; whilst we .

cannot give a lot of space to polomics, other readers views are

wolcome on this very thorny problem.
