Boston has joined New York, Cincinnati (Ohio), Cambridge (Maryland), and Chester (Ponns.) in having a boycott of schools in protest against the restriction of Negro children to inferior schools, More than ten thousand American Negro and white children boycotted schools on February 26th and attended "freedom schools" set up for the day, This was the city's second school boycott in eight months, the first took place last June when 8,000 children participated.
