By Dave Windesr Bashing Traneport House with many people has become the be-all and end-all of their activities. Actually the best way te bash Transpert House ia to build links with the young factory werkera, etc, Hew many times has anyone sent a repert of a strike in which young people were involved in to New Advance, or similarly with ether imsuea which effect young people? and why not? If the repart waa published all wall and good, if it wasn’t then ene would have a real grouse. But I strongly suspect that many would not wend in such reports on principle. If a new start is to be made on building a meas deeply-reeted Y.S. then # break will hays te be made with all forme or sectarianiar, Fan Y.S. branch must by forming Links with. trete unions, shop etewards’ committees, tenants’ associations, CHD Antivipartheid, etc. take a vigorous part in all struggles. Dut they should take part in them not as contenders for the leadership but by seeking to direct them along the line of turn-ing the Labour Party into the instrument of all workers’ struggles. ‘Thus the place for any young people would be in the ¥.S. I hepe the editers will allow ne room to answer the critical letters I expect to get for this effort.
