From the 2nd to the 7th of June, the general secretary of the New Zealand C.P., V. Wilcox, paid a visit to Indonesia. During this time he had talks with Indonesian C.P. leaders, and gave several lectures on the policy of his party. At the end of his stay a joint stat@ment was issued in the name of the two C.P.s. This followed, fairly rigidly, the Chinese position on all questions, including the key question of the Moscow Test Ban Treaty. The statement called for the resumption of bilateral talks between the Soviet C.P. end the Chinese C.P. after “adequate preparations" It also expressed the opinion that bilateral talks "on an equal basis! should be held between the Albanian and Soviet parties.
