The following press notice was issued by the Agricultural Wages Boards

"At their meeting on Wednesday, 3rd June, 1964, the Agricultural Wages Board for England and Weles resumed consideration of a claim by the workers! representatives for a 3rd week's annual holiday with pay. After discussion it was agreed unanimously that additional holidays should be granted to long service workers at the rate of 2 days after 10 years! continuous service With one employer 3; 3 days after 15 years, and one week after 20 yearSese" Cour emphasis - 3 T.U. representatives sit on the Board, ) Ed, notes it should be forgotten that a very high proportion of agricultural workers are casual and therefore could not possibly benfit from the above,
