Oxford University Labour Club passed by a large majority a resolu= tion protosting about the reported recommendation for expulsion of John Robertson, Chairman of the Young Socialists. Then someone said we should wait until the official announcoment, the mover pointed out that by acting quickly we might help to forostall possible action by the thatchet mont. If it is true that the right wing are prepared to indulge in such splitting activities evon in“Siection year then all sections of tho movement will hove to prepare for an attack on the Y.S, and on damoe cratic rights in the Labour Party generally, after the leader moves to numbor 10, We must make sure that under a Labour Government discussion in tho party is intensified and Ministers callod to account to the party for their actions.

Another AU branch in Nottingham has sent in a £1 towards the cost of the bus taking participants to the Y.S. lobby of Parliament. Young Socialists from sevoral branches including South, Central, “est and North Nottingham aro taking time off work to come. The bus leaves Friar Lane, off the Old Market Square, Nottingham at 8.00 sharp on the morning of the rally (February 11th).
