Members of Parliament regarding the M.P.s! Ad Hoc Committee for Peace in Vietnam which is at present supported by some 100 Labour and 2 Liberal members of the House of Commons. ; The British Council for Peace in Vietnam aims to secure peace on the basis of the 1954 Geneva agreements which recognise the independence, sovereignty and Unity of Vietnam, and the right of the people in the north and south zones to determine their own future, and to unite without foreign interfer~ ence. It also demands the cessation of American bombings of North Vietnam and asks Britain to dissociate itself from American action in Vietnam.
