Among the resolutions for NALGO's Conference, to be held this June, are the following: 19. N.#.C.: This Conference is opposed to legislation which contains penal provisions for T.U. members and officers in the discharge of their trade union duties and responsibilities. ae 20. N.W., N. Wales district council and Staffs: That this Conference, believing that Government legislation to enforce its incomes policy constitutes a long-term threat to the fundamental right of an employee to withdraw his labour, declares its strong opposition to such legislation, and calls upon the N.E.C. to use all its endeavours through the T.U.C. to dissuade the Government from either introducing, or, — introduced, from implementing, such legislation. 21. S. Shields: This Conference asserts that any legislation acwigina to implement H.M.G.'s incomes policy must not discriminate against the public services and should apply to prices and dividends to the same extent as wages and salaries, 22. Haxpshire: That this Conference......e.views with alarm the increasing interference with the established principles of Whitleyism, i.e., free negotiations between employers and employees, and instructs the N.#.C. to resist all attempts by the P.I.B. to assume the duties and functions of the Ministry of Labour.
