MNeetins betwee Education Committee and the teachers! organisations to discuss general lines of development for a syste: of Comorehensive Uducation., Recommended setting un of workin- narties. Council motion as follows:- "That this Local Education Authority now detlares that its objective is to introduee as many all through Com»rehensive Schools as is practicable. It further declares that where this is not iumediately practicable < two tier syste: of Comnprehensive Education should be introduced as soon as possible, the particular type of two tier system to denvend on the nature of the existinys schools in the arcas in which all-through Comprehensive Schools arc not immediately introduced."

Campaign against Counrehensives takes a new direction. No lonwer directed atainst Cormtehensives as such (!!!) put only against the manner of its inroduction.
