from Ian Walker. Myton is starting legal proceedings against the City of London Corporation to determine the legality of its claim to terminate its £53 m. Barbican redevelopment contract. Myton should have completed its contract by the end of next year but no building has been done since last October when it provoked a strike and sacked its labour force, The site was the subject of a Ministry of Labour Court of Inquiry in June. The findings are not expected for some weeks but already Myton has suggested as an alternative to ending the contract that it should be re-negotiated to cover the remaining work.
