This is the last issue of Tho Wock, in its prosont form. As we ox= plainod a fcw wocks ago, tho tcam which has boon producing tho journal has decided that it would be more beneficial and appropriato for thom to producc a now monthly printcd journal, International. Thorc is a place for a journal doing the job which Tho Wook has dono and wo look forward to the day when it will be possiblo to bring out a wookly printed organising journal for the Left. However, we are ploasod with the work which wo havo donc through Tho Wook and wo arc sure that the now journal will make an cvon biggor contribution. The history of The Woeck has boon a history of strugglco. From its vory first issuc until now it has always bcon in opposition to the rightwing, doing all in its powcr to assist in tho living strugglos of tho working classe Some of this has brought about permanont shangos in the British politi— cal scono: witness the crcation of thc workors! control campaign and the launching of the Victnam Solidarity Campaign. Just as important is the fact that The Wock has brought togothor a national notwork of activists who are ready to go into action on all vital issucs. Wo will through various urfitedfront organisations be kocping in touch with all those who have collaborated with us in our various campaigns. Our new journal, Intcrnational, will be dosignod to holp to clarify the important political probloms which face tho Loft in Britain today. Wo confidently cxpect all thoso who helped us with Tho Wook to collaborate in this work. We will be organising a great decal of discussion around our now journal in the form of moctings and conforenees — anyone intero— sted in this side of things ploase contact us.
