Some 125,000 workers at 51U.S. aircraft and space installations will strike on July 23rd. unless new contratcs have been negotaited by then, union leaders announced on JUly 8th. Negotiators of the International Association of Machinists and the United Aerospace Viorkess have been engaged in contract talks with employers for three months. The unions want more pay and other benefits.

Installations affected belong to the Lockheed, North American, Douglas, General Dynamics, Convair and Aerojet-General corporations.
