The Panamanian National Guard, in collusion with verious local suthoritios has forced thousands of peasants to leave land which they had culivated for two generations, threatening to arrest them if they refused to leave. In Los Higos area, Herrera province, alone, mors then six hundred have received ordar te leave their land.

It is alse reported that one Dec, 23 the Panananian National Guard fired on a group of Inddans in San Blas and the prior to Dec, 25th. 40 workers and peasants were arrest in other arons,
